Mastermyne Lends Gold Support to Nippers
Mining services company Mastermyne is lending valuable support to the Mackay Surf Life Saving Club junior development program, Nippers.
As new gold sponsors of the Nippers, Mastermyne will provide assistance to help get them all geared up for the 2011-2012 Surf Lifesaving Season, kicking off on October 2.
The new Nippers season will offer children aged from 5 to 14 lifesaver training, board and ski training and ironman training. With Mastermyne’s assistance the children will have access to up-to-date equipment and comprehensive training programs, to help them become the lifesavers of the future.
As the only sport that teaches participants how to save a life, Surf Life Saving has immeasurable benefits for the community and with Mastermyne’s support the services they provide to the region’s children can continue to flourish.
Mastermyne Managing Director Tony Caruso says, “I see this as a great opportunity for Mastermyne to support a very valuable service to the Mackay community. Supporting local juniors like the Nippers is a great way for Mastermyne to contribute back to the community that has been so supportive of Mastermyne’s business.”
The Mackay Surf Lifesaving Club has been patrolling Mackay beaches since 1949. Mastermyne was founded in 1996 to provide contracting services to underground longwall mining operations in the Bowen Basin coalfields of Central Queensland.
