Real Mates Safety Campaign
In October 2014 the Real Mates Campaign was launched, challenging everyone in the Company to step up their energy and efforts around safety.
The purpose of the campaign was to challenge each other’s behaviors and find one opportunity during each shift to change or improve a behavior relative to working safely.
The campaign has been highly successful in generating safety chatter. We have received many good examples of how individual employees have challenged their mates’ behaviours, resulting in them working more safety.
Mastermyne offered a BBQ each month for all crews achieving their REAL MATES CONVERSATION target.
BCF Vouchers were also offered each month for the one Mastermyne workgroup/crew with the best quality REAL MATES CONVERSATION.
BBQ’s were rolled out throughout the Underground sites as a tremendous effort was made across the division.
Overall a fantastic result both in number and quality of Real Mates conversations recorded.
